Prospective Families

Tours

When looking for an education and care service that’s right for you and your child/ren we know that there are lots of things to consider. It is for this reason that we recommend attending a service in person and seeing it in action. At our service we have an open door policy and encourage all families to come in for a tour when considering enrolment so that you can have a chat with our director and educators, ask any questions you may have, and get a feel for how we operate.

Starting Care

We know that starting childcare can be an emotional experience for both parents and their little ones. To help settle any nerves and allow your family and our educators to familiarise themselves with one another we offer two orientation sessions prior to starting care.

Care Options

At Dandenong Ranges we provide families with three care options; full time, part time or casual care. These options all enable families to access care at any time during operating hours on their booked care days. Families who choose to access care on a casual basis are asked that they provide as much notice as possible of their need for care to ensure they don’t miss out.

Days of Operation

Our service is open 52 weeks a year (yes even between Christmas and New Years!) and is only closed on weekends and all state and national public holidays. In accordance with advice from local authorities in regards to high fire risk days, our service will be closed on any days that are deemed to be “extreme” or “code red” on the fire risk scale. However we remain open on total fire ban days.

Safety & Security

To ensure the safety of all children, families, educators and visitors an access code is required to enter the premises. This access code is kept strictly confidential and is only provided to a child’s parents/guardians and permanent educators of the service. Visitors, students and all other adults authorised to collect a child (grandparents, aunts, uncles etc.) must ring the doorbell and wait to be greeted by an educator.
